Training content
All training content is Aviation-based and designed to fit your needs, following the Guidelines from the ICAO manual for language proficiency.
Typical lessons range from listening to frequency audio recordings to speaking and describing photographs.
Our training focuses on reaching ELPAC Level 4 or up skilling to Level 5.
We train you on all the ICAO requirements, which are: pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension and interaction.
Specifics of aeronautical communication
- Speaking and listening skills
- Highly context dependent
- Relying on clear and accurate speech due to the absence of visuals
- The separation of speakers in space
- Only one speaker can transmit at a time
- Communication conditions are generally poorer than face to face communication
All actors in aeronautical communication must demonstrate that they possess the necessary degree of language proficiency to enable them to communicate comprehensibly in situations which cannot be described solely through the use of standard phraseology.

Your trainer has held a PPL and 2 ATCO licences, was an ATC trainer & TRM facilitator, and was also an ELPAC examiner & administrator.
